Orekhovich Institute of Biomedical Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences performs medical and biological studies on the basis of postgenomics technologies. The Institute is the Research-Educational Center for students of Medical-Biological Faculty of Russian State Medical University and some other Moscow Universities. In the Institute the students carry out their yearly projects, graduate works, and Ph.D. theses, using modern experimental and theoretical approaches of proteomics, nanobiotechnologies, systems and cell biology, bioinformatics and computer-aided drug discovery. The Institute publishes the journal “Biomedical Chemistry” – one of the eldest Russian scientific journals in the field of biological and medical chemistry.
