A technological advance in recent years allows get data about hundreds of transcripts or proteins during one experiment. The accumulation of such data in open access sources is a good base for meta-analysis and new knowledge without experiments. As a consequence automatic approaches for annotate experimental results becomes more popular every year.

Laboratory provides web-based tools for analysis and annotation the results of transcriptomic or proteomic experiments.

One of the results of such analysis might be the map on the published data genes or proteins which were identified during experiment. It allows comparing the results of large-scale experiments with the current level of knowledge, published in the abstracts of scientific articles. Mapping user’s activity profile on published data could provide personalized information about non-standard relationships between investigating biological objects.

Main Activity:
Laboratory provides tools for information support of the Russian part of Human Proteome Project (HPP):
  • Prediction and annotation of the protein-protein interactions based on large-scale analysis of the results mass-spectrometric experiments, genomic data and text-mining.
  • Development of the content management systems and system for storage and visualization experimental data obtained in the course of HPP.
  • Creation of analytical systems based on analysis of user’s history visits of molecular-biology information resources.
