ABOUT LABORATORY

Main directions

  • Inventarization of membrane and soluble proteins of human liver cells by using biochemical analyses, 1D and/or 2D –electrophoresis, mass-spectrometry, and bioinformatics methods.
  • Investigation of cytochrome P450 profile in liver microsomes with the purpose of the creation of the new diagnostic tests.
  • Searching of new information about primary structure, function, mutation, substrates, inhibitors, inductors of cytochrome P450 superfamily and addition of Cytochrome P450 Knowledgebase (CPD)

Methods

  • Isolation by ultracentrifugation of microsomal membranes;
  • One and two-dimensional electrophoresis;
  • Tryptic hydrolysis of proteins in SDS-PAGE gel and mass-spectrometric analysis;
  • Determination the enzymic activity, using the marker substrate for different cytochromes P450 forms.
